How to connect your Xbox Series X|S controller


Windows

Wired

  1. Connect a USB-C cable to your controller.
  2. Connect the other end to a USB 3.0 or better port on your PC.
  3. Windows should automatically install the correct driver. If it doesn't, make sure you have the latest version of Windows installed.
  4. When it's ready, the Xbox button on the controller will turn white.

Wireless via Bluetooth

  1. Press and hold the Pairing button on the top edge of the controller until the Xbox logo blinks rapidly.
  2. Press the Start button on your PC.
  3. Then select Settings, then Devices, then Bluetooth & other devices.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth.
  5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device.
  6. Select Xbox Wireless Controller.

MacOS

Wired

  1. Connect a USB-C cable to your controller.
  2. Connect the other end to a 3.0 or better port on your Mac.
  3. When it's ready, the Xbox button on the controller will turn white.

Wireless via Bluetooth

  1. Press and hold the Pairing button on the top edge of the controller until the Xbox logo blinks rapidly.
  2. Go to Bluetooth settings on your Mac and look for "Xbox wireless controller" to appear in the device list.
  3. Click the Connect button.
