How to connect your Xbox 360 controller
Windows
Wired
- Connect a USB cable to your controller.
- Connect the other end to a USB 2.0/3.0 or better port on your PC.
- Windows should automatically install the correct driver. If it doesn't, make sure you have the latest version of Windows installed.
- When it's ready, the Xbox button on the controller will turn on.
Wireless via Xbox 360 receiver dongle
- Connect the Xbox 360 receiver dongle to a USB 2.0/3.0 port on your PC.
- Turn on the Xbox 360 wireless controller by pressing and holding the Guide button.
- On the receiver, press the connect button, which is a circular button located near the middle of the receiver. The light will flash green.
- Press the connect button on the controller, which is a small circular button located on the front edge of the controller as you hold it in your hands.
