How to connect your DualShock 4 (PS4) controller


Windows

Required steps

  1. Install PS Remote Play to get drivers installed in your PC.
  2. Click here to download PS Remote Play.
  3. Run RemotePlayInstaller.exe and install it. Close the app after the install (don't need to sign in).

Wired

  1. Plug the DualShock 4 into your PC via a micro-USB cable.

Wireless via Bluetooth

  1. Hold controller's Share and PS button until it flashes
  2. Press the Start button on your PC.
  3. Then select Settings, then Devices, then Bluetooth & other devices.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth.
  5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device.
  6. Select Wireless Controller.

MacOS

Wired

  1. Plug the DualShock 4 into your PC via a micro-USB cable.

Wireless via Bluetooth

  1. Hold controller's Share and PS button until it flashes
  2. Go to Bluetooth settings on your Mac and look for "Wireless controller" to appear in the device list.
  3. Click the Connect button.
